NEW YORK, NY –  Today, Cynthia Nixon released a new video calling out Cuomo for repeatedly folding to Trump. In addition to reversing himself after the President tweeted at him on Friday, Governor Cuomo said the morning after the 2016 presidential election that Trump would be a “bonus” for New York. The Governorcontinued his optimistic attitude about the President – who bragged about assaulting women, and called white supremacists very ‘fine people’ – for most of Trump’s first year in office. The Governor’s tune on Trump changed only as Cuomo’s re-election neared.

“Everybody on the subway was silent the day after Trump won. People couldn’t even look at it each other, but Andrew Cuomo apparently didn’t feel the same way,” Cynthia Nixon said. “Trump’s first year in office, Cuomo refrained from criticizing the President. He said he didn’t’ think it was productive. Then, the Governor did some polling – and then the attacks began. The Governor shouldn’t need $300,000 in polling to tell him attacking Trump is the right thing to do.”

Yesterday, in church, the Governor orchestrated a huge media event to try to re-establish himself as Trump’s biggest opponent, but, despite calling Trump ‘un-American’ Cuomo still refuses to return the $64,000 in donations Trump gave to him.
